Chances are you're still on the 32 bit version. Unfortunately, the only browser that is specifically built for 64-bit computers (and, consequentially, the only one that downloads 64 bit java by default from the JRE site) is Internet Explorer 64-bit. If you go to the site with a 32-bit browser it'll download the 32 bit java by default. Nov 17, 2014 And, what is even better is that this should be a pretty comprehensive fix, with rebuilt launcher and bundled Java (to try to get everyone on 64-bit, the latest version, and kept up to date). I guess a large percentage of their user-base is still on old versions and/or 32-bit java, even on new machines.

WorldPainter is an interactive map generator for Minecraft. It allows you to 'paint' landscapes using similar tools as a regular paint program. Sculpt and mould the terrain, paint materials, trees, snow and ice, etc. onto it, and much more.

WorldPainter is implemented in Java, which you should already have if you're playing Minecraft. If not, install Java first from here.

There is not much documentation yet, but the program should be pretty self-explanatory. To play the map, choose Export in the File menu. Just experiment and try everything out. Don't forget to check the menus, and to see what happens if you right-click instead of left-clicking.
